Hello Student Developers, Technocrats and Entrepreneurs!

Do you use social media or social networking when you are on the web?  Chances are, you do - in fact it's almost impossible to surf the web and NOT utilize a social component. These components, or tools,  make up what some people refer to as "Web 2.0".

Some examples of these social tools include:

> Networking (Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn),

> Bookmarking (Digg, Delicious, etc),

> Blogging

> Photo sharing (Slide, Photobucket, RockYou)

"Web 2.0" basically refers to the evolution of the internet from something as simple as information transfer to a place where users create the content.

Our next Bay Area event will be on the Web 2.0 topic.  There are a lot of sites out there that do a lot of things...find out HOW they do it, and how you can do it as well!  We will be showing you tools that will help you create apps, host projects, and create social media widgets.  Come learn about:

>Zembly.com

>Project Websynergy

>Project Kenai
